PW is a manufacturing plant of Pratt & Whitney division of RTX is seeking a Quality Manager in support of the Quality Logistic Team at the West Palm Beach FSL site. This person must be proficient in part inspection, including both dimensional and geometric. Must have a good understanding of how to use inspection equipment.

What You Will Do:

Perform as the Quality Manager representing Pratt & Whitney. Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Quality Management Systems. Leads and coordinates CORE initiatives. Lead and assist with Quality initiatives to continually improve performance and reduce escapes Support, direct, and train Inspection personal. Review, investigate and make dispositions of parts or materials placed on Quality Review due to deviations from engineering specifications. Review and interpret applicable engineering detail and assembly drawings, engine manuals, clearance charts, engineering changes, and specifications to determine the severity of the material deviations. Make dispositions of parts and materials based on evaluation of technical requirements and end use. Evaluate Quality Notifications and related documentation for accuracy and completeness as received from both internal and external sources. Provide the necessary controls for storage and control of nonconforming material. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists in the oversight of the 3PL operations to ensure compliance to PWQMS. Manage Quality Logistics CAR’s.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. Possess a strong understanding of effective Quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business environments. This person must be proficient in part inspection including both dimensional and geometric. Must have a good understanding of how to use inspection equipment.

Qualifications We Prefer:

CORE Apprentice, Lean manufacturing or 6 Sigma green belt preferred. AS9100D training / experience is a plus. Although not currently required, candidate must possess willingness to become FAA ODA UM Certified. Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project. Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems.

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
