Join a team that manages Service Mesh and Identity in Salesforce's core platform!
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated e distributed systems engineer to join our team, focusing specifically on workload identity management and service mesh within our cloud platform. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure identity solutions for our diverse cloud-native applications and services. You will work to ensure that all non-human identities (applications, microservices, containers, CI/CD pipelines, etc.) have the appropriate and least-privileged access to cloud resources across our multi-cloud environment.
Some Attributes Of Successful Candidates
Experience and passion for service ownership, building reliable/self-healing services. Experience working in a complex team environment. Able to deliver under pressure and dependency constraints. Experience building large scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments Familiar with public cloud services with AWS and Google Cloud Platform In-depth understanding of workload identity concepts, including service accounts, managed identities, and workload identity federation (IAM, OIDC, SAML). Good knowledge with network technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS termination, HTTP proxies, etc. Experience at Scrum or other agile development methodologies, with attention to code quality, delivering secure code Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practices. Familiarity with crash-only and recovery-oriented software design. Excited by building reliable, self-healing services on unreliable hardware. Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems that run across thousands of compute nodes in multiple data centers.
Requirements
2+ years of development experience Experience working in large scale cluster management systems (e.g. Kubernetes) of a mission critical service Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development
