As a Stars Senior Data Analyst, your main focus will be to improve publicly reported rates and close the gaps in Stars performance. You will achieve this through effective data analytics, technology, and reference materials. Reporting directly to the Director of Population Health and Quality Analytics, you will collaborate closely to ensure your work aligns with organizational goals and STAR strategies. You will partner with internal and external teams to identify insights from data and provide operational support for performance improvement. Your expertise in Quality Measures and Star Ratings will be crucial for consulting with stakeholders and creating meaningful insights from data used for Stars and other quality measures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Knowledge of Medicare Star Rating methodology; NCQA HEDIS measures; CAHPS and HOS surveys. Intermediate to advanced skills in analytic programming languages and data visualization tools, including SAS, SQL, and Tableau. Ability to develop, interpret, and explain analytics needed for decision making and improvement. Experience in developing and producing complex reports and dashboards, and designing analyses to evaluate intervention effectiveness. Ability to generate easily understandable and actionable information for stakeholders (Market, Quality, Pharmacy, Member Experience teams). Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all management levels. Knowledge of health plan operations, health care claims, and relevant data sources (e.g., EMR, Authorizations). Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills across multiple projects. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to rapid or extensive changes. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions

Standard office environment. Education Required

BA/BS in Health Analytics, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Health Economics, or related field with a focus on data analysis. Education Desired

Advanced degree preferred. Experience Required

At least 5 years of relevant experience in reporting and analyzing quality improvement measures within a health plan. Experience working with Stars (HEDIS, HOS, CAHPS) in a large national or regional health plan. Experience in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. Experience Desired

Experience with Medicaid-Medicare populations is a plus. Experience in data analytics and decision-making using data is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
