We are seeking an experienced and strategic Enterprise Architect to join our IT team and play a critical role in shaping the enterprise-wide technology architecture for Signature Aviation. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of end-to-end architectural solutions that align with long-term business objectives and IT strategy. The ideal candidate is a thought leader with a deep understanding of enterprise systems, architectural frameworks, and emerging technologies, and is capable of driving innovation and efficiency across the organization. This position partners closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure that architecture decisions enable scalable, secure, and sustainable business outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred). 8+ years of progressive experience
in IT architecture, systems design, or enterprise solution development. Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture in large, complex IT environments. Hands-on expertise in multiple architecture domains (application, infrastructure, data, integration, or security). Proficiency in architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Visio) and enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Strong experience with modern cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud migration strategies. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps pipelines, and CI/CD practices. Additional knowledge and skills: Strategic thinker with the ability to link technical initiatives to business objectives. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence at all organizational levels. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment in a matrixed environment. Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous settings. Enterprise Architecture Leadership Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical standards, and industry best practices. Lead the development of current and future-state architecture models, identifying opportunities for consolidation, simplification, and innovation. Drive architecture strategy and governance, establishing reusable design patterns, principles, and guidelines. Own the creation and evolution of the enterprise architecture roadmap across application, data, infrastructure, and security domains. Strategic Planning and Advisory Serve as a key advisor to IT and business leadership on technology strategy, enterprise initiatives, and digital transformation efforts. Evaluate business requirements, assess technical impacts, and propose architecture solutions that deliver value and minimize risk. Collaborate with enterprise program managers to align architectural direction with portfolio priorities and timelines. Technology Evaluation and Innovation Continuously research emerging technologies and trends (e.g., AI, data platforms, cloud-native architectures) to evaluate strategic fit and recommend adoption strategies. Guide proof-of-concepts and pilot initiatives to validate architectural decisions and new technology capabilities. Ensure all architectural designs align with industry standards (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and compliance requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Governance Partner with solution architects, application owners, security, infrastructure, and data teams to drive architectural consistency and integration. Facilitate architectural review boards and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture governance. Promote strong documentation practices to capture architectural decisions, roadmaps, and technical artifacts.
