One of our clients in the government sector is looking for a System Analyst (PMO) that will:
Assist project delivery teams in monitoring project performance and managing risks.
Enhance governance and compliance by implementing a governance framework.
Ensure adherence to project and compliance standards.
Align projects with departmental goals and manage resource allocation efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Workplan Demand Management
Champion annual work planning reviews with stakeholders, from IT investments budget to resource demand agreement with users
Manage and operationalize demand management process with rigor in governance & compliance
Projects Performance Management
Support Balance Scorecard Goals via portfolio and project performance measurement & report and analysis
Report and analyze delivery balance scorecard KPIs, including budget utilization and highlight any areas of concerns and work with stakeholders for resolutions
Manage regular reporting and monitoring activities in the Program Management Office
Standards, Methodologies & Processes
Initiate & implement process improvements to aid demand and delivery fulfillment, marksmanship & performance dashboard
Coach junior team members to improve team productivity and operational excellence
Provide training and guidance related to project reporting and monitoring to Project Managers
Establish and implement standards and guidelines on project management practices, costing etc
Support PMO initiatives like internal process audits, roadshow, steering committee etc
Project Delivery
Oversee the successful delivery of various programme tracks that are under programme purview
Work with respective teams for project resource requirement planning and project resource performance improvement for major project implementation
Identify and coordinate actions to improve the quality of project delivery based on monitoring and reporting activities and management information
Manage overall project register and report portfolio key performance metrics
Track major project timeline, deliverables, dependencies, assumptions, issues and risks
Track major projects review activities against expected milestone deliverables, sign-off, change request and closure
Assist in project-related issue resolution and risk mitigation
Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT peers to assess and identify solution and implementation risks
Work with project managers from different departments/teams to ensure timely delivery, alignment with Project Management Methodology (PMM) processes, deliverables and reporting
Drives alignment & bridge gaps across the key business needs, processes & technology
Coordinates and drives implementations across the core systems/applications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in IT or other relevant fields
Minimum 12 years of PMO/PM experience
Programme management experience, preferably in managing programmes in a large sized organization operating in a highly complex environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, MS SharePoint Workflow Automation, familiar with methods and tools for annual work planning and budgeting
Knowledge of Tableau, JavaScript, SAP will be advantageous
Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a go-getter attitude
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to cultivate relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or ability to obtain in 6 months)
Effective information collation, meeting facilitation, one-on-one interactions/ observations and good documentations
