Director of Business and Operations
to help lead the department in areas of finance, data analytics, and general business management.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
The Public Works Department and the Department of Facilities manage all vertical and horizontal assets for the Town of Natick, including roads, piping infrastructure, buildings, fields, and water and sewer stations. The Director of Business and Operations reports to the Executive Director of Public Works and Facilities and will serve as a key member of the department’s executive leadership team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, or a related field A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing business operations in the public sector Certification as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) Strong working knowledge of financial planning and budgeting principles Deep understanding of business operations, particularly within a municipal environment Working knowledge with horizontal and vertical infrastructure (e.g., roads, utilities, buildings)
Compensation And Benefits
The Town of Natick offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package. This position is classified as Grade 4 on the town's pay plan, with a hiring range of $120,000–$130,000, commensurate with education and experience.
