Senior Orbital Analyst Remote (with occasional onsite work in Boulder, CO)
An organization is seeking a
Senior Orbital Analyst
to provide expertise in the development of satellite operations solutions. This is a
mostly remote position
with some onsite requirements in
Boulder, CO . WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
Perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates, and collision avoidance analysis.
Generate orbit maneuver plans for orbit maintenance and collision avoidance.
Create simulations to validate the accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques.
Script for automation and integration of orbit analysis functions.
Engage with customers for product demonstrations and delivery of analysis products, with the ability to effectively communicate results.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
Bachelors or Masters degree in
Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field .
Minimum
48 years of related experience .
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility .
Demonstrated experience with orbit determination, astrodynamics techniques, and operations.
Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools, including
ODTK
and
STK/Astrogator .
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organization, decision-making, and verbal/written communication skills.
High level of self-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.
