Role: MongoDB Database Admin Location: Jersey City, NJ, Boston, MA, and Westlake, TX (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term (1+ years) Must have: Mongo DBA primary need and "this is a self managed role has MongoDB Ops Management experience. Have you worked in Mongo, do you have Atlas or Ops manager, they don't want Atlas they want Ops manager experience. compared to other BU's within FCAT they have a unified team that handles system database and apps database, they will need a senior level candidate. Almost 80% of the application runs on MongoDB. AWS Cloud experience is a must have with MongoDB. because this is a small team they need end to end knowledge. Terraform, Ansible, Python are also needed for this role. Skills: 8+ years MongoDB DBA experience. Experience in other distributed databases is preferable. Strong knowledge and experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading MongoDB databases, as well as general administration. Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Ops manager. Schema design, performance tuning, query optimization, backup solutions (Physical and Logical) Replica set (elections, read/write concerns, arbiters) etc. Managing MongoDB Oplog and journals. Design indexing strategies and Sharding (choosing a good shard key, balancer, moving chunks, zoning shard with pre-split chunks, etc.). Seniority level
