Ready to Shape the Future of Signal Processing? Join DeNOVO Solutions as a Signals Software Engineer 2!

DeNOVO Solutions is looking for an innovative

Signals Software Engineer 2

to help develop, enhance, and maintain

signal processing software

critical to national security missions. If you thrive in complex environments, enjoy working with cutting-edge

Radio Frequency (RF)

systems, and are passionate about leveraging software to solve real-world challenges, then this is the role for you!

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll Drive Innovation: Design, develop, and maintain signal processing software to solve the toughest mission challenges, including detectors, demodulators, and protocol processors. You’ll Be Hands-On: From debugging existing software to integrating new features and optimizing performance, you’ll stay actively engaged in every phase of the development process. You’ll Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and software developers, and lead software development teams when needed to ensure projects stay on track. You’ll Be at the Forefront of Technology: Work with RF systems, signal processing techniques, and advanced algorithms to create solutions that support national defense. You’ll Solve Complex Problems: Tackle large datasets and real-time systems using your deep knowledge of signal processing, Fourier transforms, and digital modulation.

What You’ll Do

Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance specs. Design and code new software, or modify existing systems to enhance functionality. Debug and troubleshoot to identify and correct defects in current software systems. Develop and implement signal processing algorithms, optimizing performance while adhering to system constraints. Integrate software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Provide recommendations for enhancing software development processes and documentation. Lead software development teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards. Collaborate with system engineers to design, document, and test software solutions. Maintain and troubleshoot RF processing systems and address issues in the system's architecture. Perform quality control on software products and identify areas for process improvement.

What You Bring To The Table

7+ years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer (SSWE), focusing on Radio Frequency (RF) systems. Expertise in Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, and error control coding. Proficiency in signals analysis tools like WVT and DVT, and signal processing techniques such as adaptive beamforming, filtering, and demodulation. Hands-on experience with software-defined radio architecture (e.g., SCA, REDHAWK, GNU). Knowledge of commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, and software configuration management tools (e.g., GIT, Clearquest, Trac, Subversion). Advanced proficiency with Linux and development tools like Python, Eclipse IDE, and Google Protocol Buffer. Familiarity with model-based design tools such as Matlab and Simulink and service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (required). 7+ years of relevant experience in SSWE or equivalent. Four (4) additional years of SSWE experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $140,000 annually. At DeNOVO Solutions, we value experience and expertise. Compensation may exceed the listed range to align with the skills and experience of the candidate.
