Director Corporate Tax

Role Overview: Under the direction of the Vice President and Controller, the Corporate Tax Director is responsible for the Company’s accounting for income taxes and compliance with tax regulations. This position serves as the lead technical expert in all tax matters and collaborates with outsourced tax specialists. Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Must be in the office at least three (3) days per week, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at our Newtown Square, PA headquarters. Responsibilities: Collaborate with tax specialists to minimize tax liabilities through application of tax laws. Perform tax research and oversee documentation of the Company’s tax positions. Stay informed of operational changes affecting tax and communicate impacts. Oversee preparation of tax provisions and returns, ensuring timely filing and payments. Manage the monthly/quarterly/annual tax close processes and maintain accurate tax general ledger accounts. Ensure compliance with GAAP, STAT, and Tax principles. Implement controls over income tax accounting and ensure accurate documentation. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning related to taxes. Communicate with tax regulators as needed. Develop departmental management and staff. Lead special projects and other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA license required. Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and Local tax laws. Experience in corporate tax or public accounting preferred. Excellent communication, initiative, managerial, and analytical skills. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles is a plus. Minimum five (5) years in tax accounting, tax return preparation, and people management.
