Job Description
Copia is seeking an Asset Management Associate to support the Asset Management and O&M team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project onboarding tasks, compliance uploads, contract reviews, and regulatory submissions. This role requires a strong work ethic and willingness to learn/contribute to a growing team. A background in renewable energy is preferred.
The Asset Management Associate will report directly to the Senior Director of Asset Management and O&M. Working closely with Copia’s asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams in an individual contributor capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Renewable Energy Credit system set up FERC EQR Submissions EIA Submissions and Offtake Submissions Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget preparation assistance Monthly report production, and other reports as needed Participation in EBITDA and FP&A meetings Support oversight of a portfolio of complex renewable energy assets Assist in analyzing and organizing financial data related to asset performance. Prepare and present regular reports on asset performance and financial metrics. Work with Senior Asset Managers to develop and implement strategic asset management plans. Assist in developing reports for financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L responsibility. Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities for asset optimization and risk mitigation. Support day-to-day stakeholder relationships with local and state authorities, financing partners, regulatory agencies, landowners, and other entities Support the resolution of major asset-related issues or outages.

Minimum Qualifications
3 years professional experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry Bachelor’s degree preferred Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel Experience with project management software Ability to work in the SLC or DC office a minimum of 3 days per week. Ability to travel up to 20% Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
