General Position Statement: The Corporate Banking Lender IV is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of commercial banking relationships with companies typically generating $30 million and above in annual revenue. This role is focused on delivering customized credit and banking solutions, ensuring prudent risk management, and driving overall client satisfaction while supporting the Bank’s strategic goals. The Corporate Banking Lender IV plays a key role in originating new commercial loan and deposit business, maintaining portfolio quality, and serving as the primary advisor to corporate clients throughout the Bank’s footprint. Duties and Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management- Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial clients, providing strategic financial guidance and tailored solutions to support growth, capital, and cash flow needs. Proactively conduct relationship reviews and maintain regular client touchpoints to deepen engagement and identify cross-sell opportunities. Ensure client satisfaction and retain relationships by resolving issues effectively and timely. New Business Development - Identify and originate new commercial loan and deposit relationships through direct calling, referrals, centers of influence, and active community involvement. Leverage market knowledge to build a robust pipeline aligned with the Bank’s credit appetite and strategic growth goals. Credit Structuring and Risk Management - Collaborate with credit partners to structure and underwrite new credit requests and renewals. Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, industry trends, collateral, and guarantor strength to assess risk. Prepare and present credit approval packages to appropriate committees, ensuring quality, completeness, and adherence to policy. Monitor portfolio performance and maintain strong credit quality, including covenant compliance, risk ratings, and timely renewals. Loan Origination & Portfolio Support - Guide clients through the loan process, from structuring and term sheet development to document negotiation and closing. Conduct pre-loan due diligence including collateral site visits, environmental screening, and review of legal/organizational documentation. Review and monitor construction draws, borrowing base certificates (for ABL loans), and insurance compliance. Cross-Functional Coordination - Partner with Treasury Services, Wealth and Asset Management, Capital Markets, and other internal teams to deliver full-service solutions. Refer prospects and clients to mortgage, private banking, and other business lines as appropriate. Regulatory & Compliance - Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal policy standards including BSA/AML, HMDA, CRA, and fair lending. Complete all required compliance and professional training in a timely manner. Community Engagement - Represent the Bank in civic and industry organizations, building brand visibility and expanding referral networks in the local market. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E; etc. Completes required compliance training and adheres to the Bank’s standard of conduct. Perform other duties as requested. Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections Program. Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications preferred. Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial/corporate banking with demonstrated success in new business development and portfolio management. Strong credit analysis and structuring skills, including experience underwriting, Commercial and Industrial, Asset Based Lines of Credit, Equipment Finance, and Owner-Occupied Real Estate Loans. Proven ability to manage complex relationships and coordinate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and accountability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with loan origination and CRM platforms (e.g., nCino, Jack Henry Silverlake).
