Principal Electrical Engineer Contingent upon prime contractor approval Purpose : Valkyrie Enterprises seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer in Huntsville, AL. Your expertise will support multiple programs developing reentry vehicles, rocket motors, and countermeasures, contributing to realistic test environments for missile defense systems. Job Description : Support the Targets and Countermeasures Engineering team in target design, analysis, and testing, including requirements development, modeling, simulation, and reporting. Focus on creating and maintaining Interface Control Documents, analyzing target reentry and launch vehicle systems, and applying engineering rigor to failure review boards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop analyses and recommendations for senior leadership. Review electrical system designs, including circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration. Develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges. Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and resolve issues. Work with software, mechanical, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems. Prepare technical documentation such as design specs, test plans, and reports. Manage multiple projects ensuring timely delivery. Communicate project status and coordinate with stakeholders. Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering and missile systems. Identify and implement process improvements for system design and performance. Qualifications : Master's degree in a STEM field, preferably Electrical Engineering, with 12+ years of relevant experience in missile defense or DoD programs. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Qualifications : Familiarity with MDA and DoD programs and processes. Experience with MDA Flight Test and analysis. Experience with rocket motors, ground support equipment, and reentry vehicles. Attention to detail and multitasking abilities. Ability to communicate technical info clearly to diverse audiences. Security Requirements : Active DoD Secret Security clearance and the ability to maintain it. Travel Requirements : Up to 10% travel, including access to secure facilities, with necessary identification credentials. Physical Requirements : Prolonged sitting or standing, computer work, and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
