Position: Network Security Engineer Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain network perimeter infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices. Configure and troubleshoot network routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Plan, configure, and maintain firewall infrastructure. Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement at the network edge. Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution related to perimeter devices. Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures. Manage and maintain PKI infrastructure. Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with other IT teams to support business applications and services. Document network configurations and procedures. Qualifications: Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline (preferred). Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, etc.) required. Experience: 5+ years in enterprise routing and switching. 3+ years in firewall planning, configuration, and maintenance. Understanding of OSI model and IP protocol stack. Experience with network switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) with Cisco, Netscaler, Citrix, Firepower. Preferred Experience: Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls. Experience with application load balancers (NetScaler, F5). Strong understanding of PKI, security, audit, and compliance principles. Knowledge of DNS and web traffic patterns.
