Clinical Oncology Stewardship Pharmacist - FT - Days - Pharmacy @ MV
Position Overview El Camino Health is seeking a Clinical Oncology Stewardship Pharmacist to join our team. This full-time day shift role involves managing oncology formulary, collaborating with healthcare teams, providing education, and supporting quality improvement initiatives to ensure safe and effective use of antineoplastic medications across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
Manage oncology formulary, evaluate and onboard new agents, and oversee off-label or non-formulary use.
Determine appropriate site of care for oncology patients.
Review provider requests for exceptions and collaborate with stakeholders for safe medication use.
Work with pharmacy informatics to support EHR resources related to oncology medications.
Provide education and training to pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals on oncology therapies.
Contribute to antineoplastic stewardship through data collection, reporting, and process improvements.
Develop policies to promote safe medication practices and optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited college.
PGY1 residency and PGY2 in Oncology/Hematology or BCOP certification with oncology experience.
Valid California pharmacist license, CA driver’s license, and NPI number.
Additional Details Salary Range: $78.10 - $117.15/hour
This role involves working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The physical requirements include mostly sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
