Facilities Engineer II

to join our Facilities Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and reliability of facility and production equipment, ensuring the quality and performance of utility systems, and managing building and factory automation. You will also play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and system performance. What You’ll Do: Manage the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of facilities and production equipment. Provide project justifications, cost estimates, and timelines; monitor progress of construction and improvement projects. Provide input during executive budget reviews. Perform hands-on work alongside maintenance supervisors and technicians to support all aspects of facility operations. Provide oversight into development and implementation of procedures and best practices for facility and maintenance operations. Lead and participate in plant quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance. Coordinate building space allocation, layout planning, communication infrastructure, and facility expansion projects. Support safety, quality, reliability, and capability improvement projects across research and manufacturing sites. This may include assisting project managers with calculations and technical studies. Serve as a technical liaison between departments, customers, auditors, and regulatory officials. Develop and execute corrective action plans based on stakeholder feedback. Create and deliver technical training content to build knowledge, skills, and awareness across the business unit. Monitor and analyze site utility and energy consumption. Implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and cost savings. Collaborate with local agencies on energy studies, as applicable. Perform other duties as assigned. What you Bring: BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or related technical discipline Minimum of 2 years of experience with processing equipment, including HVAC systems, cleanrooms, pumps, vessels, semiconductor fab tools, and filtration systems. Strong design and planning skills related to chemical process facilities, preferably in the semiconductor industry. Proficiency in maintenance monitoring tools and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and modifying engineering drawings. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing engineering requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, reports, and training materials. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience in project engineering, risk mitigation, statistical process control (SPC), and design of experiments (DOE). Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve the safety and quality of maintenance programs in an industrial setting. Working knowledge of CMMS, factory and building automation systems (FAS/BMS), and computer-aided design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD). Typical Work Hours, Schedule, Location, and Travel: Work Location: Onsite, Full-Time – Sunnyvale, CA Travel: May be required occasionally based on special project needs Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional irregular hours to support critical maintenance or emergency repairs Requirements: Must be able to drive for business purposes and possess a valid driver’s license with current proof of insurance. Successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and physical exam is also required.
