This position is contingent upon contract award. Diligent Consulting Inc. is seeking a skilled
Security Engineer
to support the
Government Publishing Office (GPO)
under the
SecDevOps Program , a federal cybersecurity modernization effort. This program enhances GPO’s enterprise security posture through the implementation of
Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) ,
secure DevOps practices , and
continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
pipelines. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing key security technologies and controls aligned with both
Zero Trust enforcement
and
Risk Management Framework (RMF)
objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and manage
Microsoft Sentinel ,
Microsoft Defender , and
Zscaler .
Implement and enforce
Conditional Access
policies to support identity- and device-based trust enforcement.
Design and manage technical security control implementations that support
RMF compliance .
Document control implementations and test results for audits, assessments, and compliance tracking.
Collaborate with other security engineers, compliance analysts, and system administrators to ensure integrated, mission-aligned solutions.
Support incident response teams with security tool insights and enhancements when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science ,
Information Systems ,
Business , or a related field.
Experience: 10 years
of related technical experience in cybersecurity engineering, enterprise security architecture, or security operations.
Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft SC-200 ,
CompTIA Security+ , or
CISSP
Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a
Public Trust Security Clearance
(or higher, as required).
Reside within commuting distance of
Washington, D.C.
for required on-site activities.
