General Manager – Food Services

to lead operations for

Hampton County School District 2

a K-12 school district in

Hampton, South Carolina . This is an exciting opportunity to bring your leadership skills and drive for excellence to a role that supports student health, learning, and wellness. What You'll Do

Oversee daily food service operations, including the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program

Lead and support a team of managers across multiple locations

Ensure high-quality food service delivery and maintain compliance with USDA and local guidelines

Build strong client relationships and integrate seamlessly with school leadership

Monitor financial performance and achieve budgeted targets

Implement marketing strategies and creative menus to enhance the student dining experience

Inspire and develop staff through coaching, training, and recognition

Drive operational excellence while fulfilling all contractual commitments

What You Bring

Proven leadership experience, preferably in a multi-unit or school food service environment

Strong client relationship and team-building skills

Financial acumen with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis

A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally

A passion for nutrition, student well-being, and service excellence

Experience with USDA Child Nutrition Programs is a plus—but not required; we will train the right candidate

Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field Minimum Management Experience - 3 years Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
