The Role

As the Executive Director Clinical Education RN for the Central Division, you will spearhead transformative strategies that align, standardize, and continuously enhance Clinical Professional Practice and Clinical Operations. Positioned as a key architect in our healthcare ecosystem, you will design and coordinate cutting-edge clinical care delivery systems, setting benchmarks for quality care outcomes and operational efficiency. You’ll lead the charge in executing learning operations for clinical staff, fostering academy affiliations, and managing the residency/fellowship program. Your leadership will be pivotal in nurturing a shared governance model, refining clinical peer feedback, evolving clinical policies, and boosting clinical productivity. Perform all duties reflecting the core values of PSJH and fostering a cohesive team environment.

What You'll Do

Strategic Innovator: Develop and execute pioneering clinical care strategies and programs, driving regional alignment and excellence. Research Advocate: Ensure resources and frameworks are in place for researching best practices in clinical care, fostering their adoption across the region. Standardization Champion: Establish and implement universal standards, protocols, and policies for consistent clinical care delivery. Consultation Expert: Offer guidance to clinical leaders, advancing quality improvement initiatives and cost-effective clinical service delivery. Leadership Mentor: Inspire future nursing leaders through mentoring, support, and visionary leadership. Excellence Promoter: Cultivate a culture centered around safety and exceptional clinical care. Workforce Strategist: Design strategies addressing the diverse needs of the workforce, patient population, and community. Collaborative Catalyst: Engage with multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic regional objectives, nurturing strong professional relationships across multiple locations. Solution Finder: Develop creative solutions for present and future clinical care challenges, serving as a consultant on clinical processes and policies. Decision-Making Facilitator: Encourage inclusive decision-making processes that prioritize patient-centric outcomes. Systems Thinker: Promote organizational systems thinking, considering holistic impacts of decisions within the healthcare environment. Cultural Competency Leader: Support diversity recognition and integration of cultural beliefs into care practices, establishing progress indicators towards cultural competency. Financial Strategist: Utilize knowledge of organizational revenue and expenses to influence strategic clinical program implementations, managing resources cost-effectively. Resource Manager: Lead design and maintenance of efficient systems for clinical resource management.

What You'll Bring

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Master's Degree in Nursing or related field (e.g., Health Administration, Business, Public Health, Management). Ph.D. or DNP (Preferred). Experience: 7 years of progressive management and leadership in acute care hospital environments, overseeing complex nursing and clinical departments; 5 years in a matrixed leadership structure; 5 years managing multiple departments or ministries. Certification: Specialty certification (CENP, NEA-BC) (Preferred). Expertise: Deep knowledge of clinical practice and processes, labor contracts, and their application to practice. Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, innovative service delivery modeling, change management prowess, professional representation of PSJH, data analysis for compliant program development. Multitasking Ability: Proficiency in operating within a multi-entity organization, demonstrating system thinking. Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Portland, OR Min $75.14 Max $132.87 Spokane, WA Min $78.33 Max $138.50 Lubbock, TX Min $57.31 Max $101.34

At Providence we believe in the importance of human connection and the impact of in-person collaboration towards team cohesion and caregiver engagement. Further, we want our leaders to live in or near the communities we serve. Therefore, leaders applying for this role will be required to work a hybrid schedule, which consists of three days onsite, two days remote and live within a reasonable commuting distance to the ministry or service area they support and lead.
