The University of Houston seeks a Recruitment Coordinator to represent the university to the public community in Houston, throughout Texas, and across the nation. The role involves developing and implementing strategies and programs to facilitate recruitment and enrollment. Review application files, make admissions decisions, and scholarship recommendations. Prepare recruitment schedules and plan recruiting and yield events. Update admissions webpage and printed publications. Manage alumni and volunteer programs supporting student recruitment and enrollment. Promote university opportunities to prospective students through presentations at high schools, businesses, organizations, and UH alumni. Maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and media outlets. Serve as Lead Counselor in an assigned recruitment area, assessing and monitoring recruitment efforts. Supervise, train, and evaluate student assistants involved in recruitment projects. Organize and oversee university/college recruitment projects and events. Maintain knowledge of the Student Information System and troubleshoot issues for Outreach and Admissions staff. Monitor target markets and university enrollment, producing reports for staff use. Assist in developing training plans for new counselors. Perform other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities

Facilitate recruitment and enrollment specifically for Graduate Programs in the Cullen College of Engineering. Update social media content in coordination with department graduate advisors. Represent the university at graduate admission recruitment fairs and webinars. Assist in developing training plans for department advisors. Monitor target markets and enrollment, producing reports for college leadership. Experience will be considered in lieu of education, and vice versa. The position requires a thorough understanding of professional disciplines, obtained through a 4-year degree or equivalent training, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
