Director of Nursing

Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center, Casper, Wyoming

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
Masters in Nursing (MSN) preferred but not required
Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Wyoming State Board of Nursing
Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing and long-term care
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures, and healthcare regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage multiple patient needs
First aid and CPR certifications
Understanding of resident care policies and regulations

Oversee nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Resident Care:
Ensure effective care planning, medication, and pain management.
Policy Implementation:
Develop and enforce nursing policies for quality and safety.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, evaluate staff, and ensure compliance.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor care quality and adherence to regulations.
Communication:
Coordinate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Budget Management:
Manage department budget including staffing and supplies.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments for comprehensive care.
Staffing:
Maintain staffing ratios, serve as on-call support, and provide direct care as needed.
