Instructor/Course Developer
you will be responsible for supporting the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) Public Health Education Division. As a subject matter expert for the creation of Public Health Education training, you will help design lesson plans using Instructional System Development methodology as well as conduct classroom instruction for public health for scheduled/assigned lessons in Public Health Apprentice, Contingency Preventive Medicine, Operational Entomology, Hearing Conservation Certification, Hearing Conservation Recertification, Community Health Workshop, Force Health Management Workshop and Occupational Medicine Workshop. You Must Have: Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a security background check. Associate's Degree in Public Health with 8 years of experience within a public health related field. Basic Instructor Course (BIC) certified. Personnel will be required to complete BIC presented by USAFSAM/ED within 1 year of start date if they are not already certified. Nice To Have: Prior Air Force military experience is preferable. Experience creating Air Force Public Health education training lesson plans using Instructional System Development methodology. Experience conducting classroom instruction for public health lessons in Public Health Apprentice, Contingency Preventive Medicine, Operational Entomology, Hearing Conservation Certification, Hearing Conservation Recertification, Community Health Workshop, Force Health Management Workshop, and Occupational Medicine Workshop. Experience as a consultant in providing operational consultation relevant to Force Health Management and Community Health Public Health programs in the Air Force. Possess advanced skills in utilizing authorized equipment or required to be used in Public Health offices, i.e. outbreak investigation tools, mosquito traps, and food inspection materials. Experience utilizing health-related databases and conducting health surveillance. Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (ex.
