DPW LABORER

NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS City of Ithaca DPW Laborer, Full-Time Positions. General labor in street system, water and sewer systems, parks and cemetery, public grounds, and equipment repair. CDL A certificate required or willingness and ability to obtain upon hire. This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement. The starting wage is $20.23 per hour (then a substantial step increase upon reaching one year anniversary). Also includes a generous benefit package, additional compensation for employees that have or obtain a S-3 Water or a L-1 Wastewater Operator License, potential assistance with obtaining a CDL-A license and supportive work environment. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment physical with drug screen.
