The hours for this role are 7:00am - 3:30pmThe hourly rate for this position is $32-$40 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:Summary:Support manufacturing and engineering departments by manufacturing various production and prototype components, fixtures, and tools. Responsibilities:•Machine complex tooling and fixtures working with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering •Creating and proofing CNC programs using Proto-Trak •Set-up and run of manual machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, shears, saws, etc. •Set up and run CNC lathes (2 axis) and mills (2 axis) in prototype and production environment.•Set-up and operate surface grinding machines.•Develop, fabricate, and sharpen various cutting tools and specialty tools.•Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic and advanced inspection techniques. •Cut open units to complete production operations. •Assist shop management in training shop employees in common machine shop practices and company specific processes and procedures. •All other duties as assigned. Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications:Required:•High mechanical aptitude•Proficiency in trigonometry•Working knowledge of computers.•Understand the mechanics of chip formation and metal cutting. •Knowledge of ANSI/EIA RS - 274 ("G" code NC programs) •High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution•3+ years' experience in trade as a tool maker. •Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD•Resides within a reasonable commuting distance.•US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or RefugeePreferred:•AS in technical field.
