Hands-On Network Engineering Projects Manager: Cisco, Cloud, Security

Job Description We’re seeking a results-driven Network Engineering Project(s) Manager who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments. This hands-on technical leadership role calls for deep technical expertise across Cisco, IT Security, Cloud Infrastructure, IT Security, Audits, and Compliance. If you’re passionate about delivering scalable network solutions while managing internal I.T. Resources, MSPs, and aligning with enterprise goals, this is your stage. This is a newly created role due to business growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex network engineering projects across multiple sites Design and implement secure, scalable solutions using Cisco (switches/routers/firewalls), FortiGate (Fortinet), Windows (on-prem-to-cloud), SonicWall, Ubiquiti, Security (CrowdStrike, Rapid7, N-Able) Implement, project manage, and optimize our shift to Cloud-based network infrastructure and connectivity Oversee IT security initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry frameworks and internal policies Conduct and support IT audits (and related compliance and systems documentation), driving remediation and continuous improvement Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical outcomes with business objectives Partner with and manage MSPs to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment Provide technical mentorship and foster best practices in network operations and security Requirements: 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with technical leadership and Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security Projects Management responsibilities Experience working in a similar role for a multi-site (ideally international) company The ability to travel (up to 50% during the first 6 months) Strong knowledge of Cisco network engineering (CCNP/CCIE, BGP) and FortiGate firewalls Experience managing multi-site IT environments, including cloud/hybrid infrastructures Proven track record in IT security, audits, and regulatory compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO, etc.), with experience standardizing IT security across an enterprise-sized organization Solid foundation in On-Prem Windows Network Administration (WINS, DNS, DHCP) and experience managing the transition from on-prem servers to cloud infrastructure Familiarity with MSP engagement and vendor management best practices Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills Certifications such as PMP, CISSP are a plus Qualities: Strategic thinker with a proactive attitude Calm under pressure, focused on outcomes and quality Passion for innovation and continuous improvement College Degree or equivalent experience and certifications Very competitive compensation and benefits package.
