Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and managing kitchen operations alongside the Executive Chef to ensure excellence in food quality, consistency, and execution.

  • Overseeing and training kitchen staff while upholding team morale and enforcing professional standards.

  • Supervising station readiness, cleanliness, and food prep to maintain a smooth and efficient service.

  • Supporting and coordinating with other departments including pastry, prep, and purchasing to ensure cohesive kitchen operations.

  • Assisting in menu development, ordering, and inventory control.

  • Upholding Department of Health (DOH) and safety standards across all kitchen stations.

  • Stepping into the role of Executive Chef when needed and performing additional duties as assigned.

Executive Sous Chef Requirements Include:

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of leadership experience in a fine dining kitchen is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage day-to-day kitchen operations effectively.

  • Culinary and/or college degree recommended, with strong foundational and advanced cooking techniques.

  • High standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and professionalism.

  • Genuine passion for hospitality, leadership, and mentorship.

  • Ability to adapt to change, drive innovation, and contribute to a collaborative environment.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including AM/PM shifts and weekends.

  • Physical requirements include the ability to handle up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
