Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Engineer (PE) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Overview:
  • Seeking candidate with experience in Electrical Engineering design with an active Tennessee Professional Engineer registration.
  • Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed design packages, providing engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs, and providing expertise for troubleshooting and technical assessments of plant systems in various facilities.
  • Design support involves the preparation of planning documents such as cost-estimating bills of material and labor-hour estimates, statements of work, and design criteria, and detailed design engineering deliverables including calculations, construction specifications, drawings, datasheets, and equipment specifications.
  • Engineer may perform walkdowns in the existing plant facilities in order to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel. Field troubleshooting support of existing systems may be required to inform design for corrective actions.
  • Engineer will be responsible for preparing conduit/cable schedules, conduit/equipment plans, one-line diagrams, wiring/connection/schematic diagrams, various sections/elevations/details, and Engineering Design Instructions as required by the work scope.
Qualifications:
  • BS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in Electrical is required.
  • Experience in a DOE regulated environment is desirable along with an understanding of Conduct of Engineering and Conduct of Operations for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
  • United States Citizenship required.
