Support high-level Navy operations as a
Junior Data Analyst . In this role, you'll contribute to modeling and simulation projects that drive the Navy's Fleet Readiness Division (OPNAV N83), providing data-driven insights that directly influence operational readiness across ships, submarines, aircraft, and expeditionary forces.

Essential Duties
Readiness Data Analysis & Visualization Analyze Navy aircraft maintenance and readiness data for regular reporting to military leadership. Conduct quantitative assessments to evaluate the readiness status of Navy platforms and equipment. Design charts, graphs, and spreadsheets to visually communicate analytical findings. Monitor and interpret trends using DoD readiness databases.
Reporting & Communication Prepare, review, and contribute to weekly/monthly reports and annual deliverables for senior leadership. Support the creation of briefing materials and responses to DOD, OSD, and Congressional inquiries. Assist in validation efforts for computer models supporting readiness simulations.
Process Improvement & Team Coordination Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and stakeholder coordination. Collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams to meet contract objectives. Support ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications Minimum
3 years of experience
in data analysis, data mapping, cleansing, or validation. Proficiency with
Tableau
or similar visual analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications Experience building or updating
dashboards
with live data feeds. Background in OPNAV, Navy operations,
POM , and
PBIS
processes. Prior military experience, especially with the U.S. Navy. Experience supporting large-scale
Automated Information Systems . Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
