What You'll Do As a CNC Machinist, you'll operate and program state-of-the-art computer numerical control (CNC) machines to craft precision metal and plastic parts. You'll play a key role in delivering top-quality products to our global customers while growing your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Key responsibilities include:
Set Up & Operate CNC Machines:
Configure vertical and horizontal CNC milling centers and other machines to fabricate parts based on blueprints, sketches, or CAD designs. Program & Optimize:
Input instructions, offsets, and calculations to ensure precision and efficiency in part production. Quality Assurance:
Inspect finished parts using tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to meet exact specifications. Maintenance & Safety:
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and uphold strict safety standards. Collaboration:
Partner with engineers, programmers, and inventory managers to solve challenges and streamline processes. Inventory Management:
Track raw materials, report low stock, and support cost-effective ordering. What We're Looking For We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, whether you're an experienced machinist or transitioning from a related field. If you're detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to grow, we want to hear from you! Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 1-5 years of experience with CNC mills or related machining (entry-level candidates with training are encouraged to apply). Familiarity with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges). Basic technical competence operating industrial machinery. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an apprenticeship or certifications like National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience with shop floor control software (e.g.,PLEX, IQMS MES, TrakSYS, E2 Shop System, MS Office, MasterCam). Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks). Why This Role?
