Job Summary:

Enlace Chicago partners with neighborhood Chicago Public Schools in Little Village to transform them into fun, safe, and innovative community-driven learning environments for youth and adults during after school hours. A Community School extends its walls into the community by coordinating classes, resources, events and opportunities for academic acceleration and intervention, arts and cultural enrichment, sports and outdoor programming, summer youth opportunities, middle school to high school transition, post-secondary success and career exploration, health and wellness and adult education with family leadership opportunities.

The Program Assistant is an integral part of the community schools staff, as it has an organizational and logistical component. The program assistant is responsible, along with the Resource Coordinator, to maintain an organized database for afterschool programming in order to keep grant compliance. The program assistant is responsible for attendance, timesheets, material requests, assisting with program communications including creating fliers, announcements, emails, and other paperwork, in order to assist the Resource Coordinator in after school programming logistics.

Status: 25 Hours/Week, Part Time /Seasonal Employee

Duties & Responsibilities: Collects and manages daily program attendance and enters it into Cityspan Cityspan attendance is to be entered daily, latest by Friday. Attendance Report is to be at 100% by the end of every month (run the report and confirm with RC). Supports RC to distribution, collection, and data entry of enrollment packets Maintains supplies and inventory lists Maintains an organized database of program participants using Excel (master-list of Mon-Thur schedule per student & list of participants by program) Makes calls home to participants' parents as needed Maintains an organized workspace with documents, information, and schedules easily available Assists with designing, translating, and copying documents as needed Assists in grant compliance and evaluation measures across youth and parent programs, including survey distribution, inputting, and recording Creates and distributes flyers, field trip forms, etc. as needed for recruitment purposes Attends and assists with general school events and after-school hours Assists in ensuring instructors'/ program are equipped with supplies needed on a daily basis Attends professional development and trainings as needed/required Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Very organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to take initiative, self-starter. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well on a team. Positive attitude. Punctual. Strong documentation and records management skills. Flexible schedule to be able to work during day and/or evening hours. Computer literacy required. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Administrative experience preferred. Experience working with youth preferred.

Additional Requirements:
