Your Mission: Are you eager to kickstart your career in High Performance Computing (HPC)? Join our dynamic team as an HPC Computational Engineer and empower developers and engineers to fully leverage supercomputing resources! In this role you will: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and scientists from multiple departments, to deliver new capabilities, implement best practices, and provide exceptional customer engagement. Serve as a user advocate, offering training and one-on-one assistance for onboarding users new to HPC and guiding them in advanced topics like parallel programming using OpenMPI or OpenMP. Standardize HPC applications using container technologies and automated security scanning tools for enhanced security and efficiency. Characterize both HPC software and hardware through benchmarking and regression testing across multiple platforms, optimizing execution at scale. Develop advanced troubleshooting skills and provide recommendations to the core HPC system, increasing system efficiency as you gain understanding. Grow your scripting/programming skills and expand your overall knowledge of HPC and IT tools in a supportive and innovative environment. Desired skills: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance with background investigation within 6 years Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification Familiarity with any engineering discipline such as Software, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, etc. Scripting ability such as with Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc. Experience with version control such as Git Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines. Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2, Singularity/ Apptainer) Experience with virtualization such as VMWare Technical documentation creation and management; including documenting existing environments Understanding of routing/switching networking concepts Understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices Understanding of parallel and concurrent programming paradigms and implementations (MPI, OpenMP) Understanding of publish/subscribe architectures and implementations (Kafka, Redis) This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
