In the role of Loader Operator at , a premier supplier of construction materials in the United States, you will play a crucial part in our operations at the asphalt plant in Clinton, MD. This position entails the safe operation of front-end loaders and similar heavy machinery to transport, load, and stockpile aggregates and asphalt into plant hoppers, conveyor systems, or haul trucks, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and optimal production efficiency. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily inspections, performing routine maintenance, monitoring material levels, and collaborating with plant personnel to uphold safety standards and operational effectiveness.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Field of Study Preferred: N/A Required Work Experience: Experience operating heavy equipment, including but not limited to skid steers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes. Travel Requirements: 25%-50% of the time Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Heavy Equipment Operation: Proficiently operates front-end loaders and other heavy machinery to transport and load materials such as aggregates and asphalt, ensuring efficient plant operations. Safety Compliance: Adheres to all safety protocols, including conducting pre-shift inspections and using appropriate personal protective equipment, to maintain a safe working environment. Mechanical Aptitude: Performs routine maintenance tasks like lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment, and identifies minor mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance. Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with team members, including truck drivers and plant operators, to coordinate loading operations and address any issues promptly. Attention to Detail: Monitors equipment gauges and material levels to prevent overloading or spillage, ensuring accurate and efficient material handling.
