The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the University's mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Donor Relations & Stewardship Manager. In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAE's Operations and Quality Administration department, reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Relations & Stewardship. Key responsibilities include: Develop and oversee university-wide donor relations and stewardship programs to promote engagement with internal and external constituencies. Manage key recognition initiatives, including the 1787 Society and Inauguration program. Oversee and maintain control of the main program budget and 28 individual program budgets. Collaborate with Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) fundraising staff to address donor inquiries and gather necessary information. Ensure a solid understanding of PAE policies and procedures, with proficiency in the Affinaquest donor database. Communicate professionally with high-level donors and senior university leaders. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, prioritization, and project management ability. Work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member. Job Summary Develops, implements, and supports programs and policies across the integrated Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement to build lifelong relationships that support and enhance fundraising and active audience engagement. Provides stewardship for annual, leadership, major, and principal gift donors and supports a standardized communication strategy for recognition of smaller gift donors. Writes individualized communications plans and donor relations communications efforts. Executes meetings and events that advance donor engagement and involvement. Participates in strategic and long-range planning and manages event budgets and portfolios. Essential Functions Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while maintaining effective interactions with both donors and University personnel. Proven interpersonal strengths combined with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with the Affinaquest donor database. Comfortable performing advanced computer-based functions and skilled in delivering clear and impactful verbal and written communications. Physical Effort Light Workload
Minimal physical effort required; responsibilities are primarily sedentary. Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
