Minneola's charm and friendly atmosphere makes this an exceptional destination. This community's appeal continues to grow as exciting new developments are underway near the AdventHealth Minneola campus. AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. The role you'll contribute: Responsible for direct and indirect preoperative patient care to the patient undergoing an endoscopy procedure. The endoscopy technician will at all times observe patient safety and maintain a safe environment for patient and staff. The endoscopy technician will maintain aseptic technique and be responsible for safe handling and cleaning of equipment. The value you'll bring to the team: Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and supplies needed for specific endoscopy procedures. Knowledge of disinfection techniques for endoscopes. Functions as assistant during procedures. Knowledgeable in handling of specimens. Effective communication with patients and team members. Responds to emergency situations. Participates in cost containment. Maintains skills competencies. Maintains clean and orderly work environment. Coordinates daily technician assignments and technician call schedule. Assist with the training and orientation of newly hired technicians and others as needed and required documentation of training. Assist with the ordering of supplies and maintenance of equipment and documentation of repairs. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Must be proficient in the English language.
