The Producer of Broadcast Operations is responsible for for producing high-quality live sports broadcasts for LSU Athletics across SECN+ and other ESPN linear networks, as well as in-venue game presentations. This role oversees all aspects of broadcast content and execution for assigned events, including pre-production planning, show structure, research, coordination with coaches and sports information staff, and collaboration with on-air talent to ensure seamless and engaging viewer experiences.

45% Serve as broadcast producer for both ESPN broadcasts and in-venue game production for assigned LSU events. Produce digital broadcasts on SECN+ and other linear ESPN networks. Coordinate the content and execution of live sports broadcasts, ensuring high-quality productions. Regular interaction with sports information staff and on-air talent to ensure that all aspects of the broadcast, from content to delivery are well-prepared. Pre-production planning, research, coordination of interviews with coaching staff and overall show.

30% Management of production graphics including creating spreadsheets for graphics, working with Ross Xpression Studio graphic projects and integrating video elements into the live broadcast. Step into various roles other broadcast roles during live productions as needed. Work alongside ESPN personnel to support linear productions which includes assisting with technical setups and managing the assigned production team. Staying informed and fully compliant with all current ESPN production guidelines, standards and obligations to ensure high-quality broadcasts.

20% Assist with training of assistant directors, freelance and student workers in various production positions. Assist with videoboard productions and other events as needed.

5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of a respectful culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set therein; Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with two years experience in a broadcast production setting; Working knowledge of Ross XPression, Ross Carbonite Black Switchers, Grass Valley Router Panels, Chyron ClickEffects, Hitachi SMPTE Camera Systems, Large Box Lenses, etc. Must demonstrate ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and prioritize simultaneous projects. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with populations in the Department, University and community.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Live Events and ESPN Network operations.
