Develop and implement store distribution strategies to support sales, inventory, and margin objectives and to ensure department financial goals are met. Partner with merchandising in executing item/program/category strategies to support financial plans. Build, develop and maintain allocation strategies to ensure maximum sell through and profitability on seasonal merchandise while minimizing markdowns.
Analyze sales trends and promotional activity to ensure stores are in stock on core items, advertised merchandise, guidelines, and shops.
Analyze SKU and program productivity to ensure store turn and WOS goals are met; develop tiered assortment strategies.
Review inventory positions and sales for each DC service area; evaluate stock position and take action as needed.
Ensure new stores have appropriate inventory levels to support presentation and sales while collaborating with cross functional team.
Develop knowledge of geographic and store-attribute performance and trends through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and drive results by transferring knowledge into IM strategies.
Possess an advanced knowledge of CPWM Inventory Management and recapping systems and spreadsheets (Excel, AS400, Sales Datacube, RELEX).
Analyze item and fixture productivity, make ship pack and minimum presentation recommendations.
Support development of seasonal sales indices as needed.
Support DC/Store transfer forecasting initiatives.
Manage E-Commerce inventory and allocation needs.
Be an integral partner with visual and merchandising during schematic walk through and evaluate minimum presentation and capacity concerns as needed.
Partner with Planner to balance workloads and priorities; solicit decision support when needed.
Collaborate with Merchant Team to ensure appropriate SKUs are represented in shops and advertising.
Within ad proofing process, ensure all SKUs are in-stock at store level and recommend alternative SKUs as needed.
Support Planner in ad hoc analysis needs.
Effectively manage and support career development of IM Specialist to ensure job satisfaction, retention and to identify and develop bench strength (select positions).
What You'll Bring
Minimum 2 years Retail/Catalog/Internet Planning and Distribution experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent systems skills; Microsoft: Excel, Word, AS400, Sales Cube/RELEX.
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
Bachelor's degree required.
Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment consistent with the requirements of all applicable law.
Work Location: Hybrid. You will spend up to 3 days per week on average at our Alameda, CA Home Office.
