Inventory Supervisor Control
The Inventory Control Supervisor at Element Food Solutions (EFS) provides essential support and oversight of inventory records to ensure accuracy of information. This is done by managing the cycle count program, review and entry of inventory adjustments, reviews of production reporting, and analysis. This position provides regular and on-going support to toll customers regarding inventory matters including periodic, annual, and ad hoc counts, written and verbal reporting of supporting inventory transactions, and analysis. Participates in meetings with EFS team members and customers as needed. This position provides support for entries into customer systems and CHEP portals for both EFS and customers. Monitors the entries into those systems to ensure accuracy and consistency with EFS reporting of such.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Oversee and optimize inventory accuracy by assigning and reviewing counts, analyzing discrepancies, and recommending process improvements. Generate and distribute essential inventory reports to customers on a scheduled basis. Address customer inquiries promptly regarding inventory balances and transaction details. Coordinate and execute periodic and annual physical inventory counts for customers. Manage and conduct ad-hoc inventory count requests from both the EFS team and customers. Process and enter inventory adjustments into M3 based on review of requests. Facilitate inventory disposition efforts by providing accurate information to both customers and internal teams. Conduct weekly reviews of backflush items and implement necessary adjustments. Maintain plant inventory accuracy through regular reviews of aging reports, proactive follow-up, and consistent cycle counting. Manage cycle counts for non-inventory supplies. Collaborate closely with customer counterparts on all inventory-related matters. Support and monitor the accuracy of EFS CHEP and customer CHEP portals. Assist in the support of customer inventory systems, including platforms like SAP. Supervise a team of 2-3 personnel, including cycle counters and production inventory control specialists. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of all assigned work. Provide comprehensive training and constructive performance feedback to direct reports.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications HS Diploma or Equivalent Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, or related field is preferred. Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) Proficient written and verbal English communication skills required. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is desirable. Good communication skills; attentiveness to detail, including high-level of safety awareness. Proficient in MSOffice: Outlook, Word, Excel.
Food Safety Responsibilities: Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, cGMPs, and Food Defense. Report any observed food safety violations to your supervisor immediately.
