What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Understand and apply coverage for assigned claims, issuing appropriate RORs and disclaimers - Conduct investigations to determine coverage, liability, and damages - Evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned claims, including complex disputes and litigation - Assign and actively direct independent adjusters and defense attorneys, adhering to best practices - Maintain organized claim files, ensuring current diaries and adequate reserves throughout the claim's lifecycle
What is Required (Qualifications): - Law degree, AIC, CPCU, or other industry coursework preferred - Compliance with state adjuster licensing where applicable - Minimum 8-10 years of claim-handling experience, with a preference for management of complex Auto and General Liability claims - Strong organizational skills and good relationship and communication skills - Demonstrated working knowledge of claim regulations and laws in applicable jurisdictions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - J.D. degree preferred - Experience with high severity General Liability, Professional Liability, and catastrophic injury claims
