$140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Position Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with back-end Java 8+ skills for a hybrid position in Annapolis Junction, MD. This opportunity supports the National Time Sensitive System (NTSS) tool suite, delivering critical intelligence across the globe in real-time. The Full Stack Developer will join a team responsible for developing and sustaining distributed software for the NTSS platform. Responsibilities include designing and implementing new features, fixing bugs, deploying applications, and ensuring optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with back-end Java development and exposure to DevOps, Docker, and related technologies. The ideal candidate is a Maryland resident with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph and strong experience in back-end development using Java 8 or higher. They should have expertise in building RESTful APIs, containerizing applications with Docker, and integrating front-end interfaces using Angular. Working with MongoDB, applying DevOps methodologies, utilizing monitoring tools like Kibana and Logstash, and implementing business logic using rule engines such as Drools are a plus.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant fields 35 years of experience with Java 8 or higher, including hands-on development of scalable and secure backend systems. 3+ years of experience using Spring frameworks, such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, to build microservices and enterprise-grade applications.
Desired Qualifications
Experience developing RESTful web services, including designing APIs that are secure, well-documented, and performant. Experience using Angular (version 2+), including integrating front-end components with backend services. Experience with Drools, or other rule-based engines, to implement complex business logic. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and configuration management. Experience working with Kibana and Logstash for log aggregation and real-time monitoring. Experience working with MongoDB, including schema design and performance tuning for high-throughput applications. Experience using Docker, Docker Compose, or Docker Swarm for containerization and orchestration of application deployments
