Your Role
The CalPERS PPO Account Management team at Blue Shield of California plays a central role in managing the relationship with CalPERS and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, affordable healthcare services to its members. The Program Manager, Consultant - CalPERS will report to the PPO Director of Account Management. The Program Manager, Consultant - CalPERS plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing strategic initiatives that support the CalPERS PPO line of business. In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives and operational execution for Blue Shield's CalPERS PPO line of business. This role ensures successful delivery of programs that support CalPERS' goals for affordability, quality, and member experience. This position collaborates cross-functionally to manage complex workstreams, resolve issues, and drive continuous process improvement.
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
Requires experience working in a health plan with the understanding of PPO operations, claims, and provider networks
Requires proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project)
Experience with cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
