Ardurra is seeking a Water Resources Stream Designer to join our Watershed Practice! As a trusted leader in providing reliable and innovative stormwater solutions across the Southeast, we offer tailored and cost-effective approaches to protect public safety, improve watershed functions, and enhance quality of life. Our expertise includes watershed planning, asset management, NPDES permitting, water quality and quantity control, and capital design projects, making us advisors to municipal clients in developing sustainable stormwater programs. Primary Function : The Water Resources Stream Designer is responsible for designing stream restoration and stabilization projects that improve watershed health, restore natural hydrology, protect utilities, and support ecological balance. The role involves working closely with engineers, ecologists, and planners to develop sustainable solutions for urban stream systems across various landscapes. Under mentorship, the role may also include guiding junior engineers on projects focused on managing runoff, preventing flooding, and water quality protection. Primary Duties : Design stream restoration, stabilization, and enhancement projects using geomorphic and ecological principles. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS tools. Prepare construction documents including plan sets, grading plans, erosion/sediment control plans, and technical specifications. Conduct site evaluations and assist in environmental impact assessments. Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on watershed planning and stormwater management solutions. Assist in field inspections, data collection, and site assessments. Participate in public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and project presentations as needed. Education and Experience Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related disciplines. Approximately 8+ years of experience in water resources and stream restoration or stabilization. Exposure to stormwater modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM, HydroCAD), AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS applications is a plus.
