This team works on 5 different applications so the candidate should have ability in both Java, Spring Boot, API Development on the backend, as well as Angular UI skills on the front end. This is a true 50/50 Full Stack. Location: SLC only, try for local if you can, I know SLC isn't too popular for relocation candidates, but will accept them if the candidates reason for moving makes sense. Interview Process: Just 1 round, 45 minute interview with the manager and senior engineer. They'll do a coding exercise and can determine pretty quick if it's the right fit. Length of Assignment: 12 months to start, strong chance for extension. Long term growth. Top 3 Skills: 1. Java/Spring Boot for back end development. 3. Most of their apps are in AWS so they would need some hands on AWS exp. Nice to Have: They do some streaming from time to time in Kafka so it's a bonus if they have it, but not required or dealbreaker at all. The Team You will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly hardworking individuals tasked with re-imagining the customer experience and associate workflow for Client. The team will be focused on developing a new microservices based platform to support life events and beneficiary qualification process. The product would be developed primarily using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS services. The Expertise You Have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and or equivalent experience. 7-10 years Java development experience. Proven track record with Angular Development. 2+ years of experience with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies / best-practices. Excellent understanding of REST concepts and developing REST APIs with Spring Boot or NodeJS. Experience with serverless computing and EKS based applications is a plus. Hands on experience with: Git, Docker, Python, Shell Scripts. Understanding of Cloud databases including – DynamoDB and RDS.
