A law firm seeks a motivated attorney to join its expanding Employee Benefits practice group in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of expertise in ERISA, tax, and employee benefits law. Strong knowledge of ESOPs or equity compensation plans is an added advantage. This position is best suited for a self-driven professional who demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, a strong ability to manage complex matters, and a passion for employee benefits law.
Duties
Perform comprehensive legal research and provide analysis for various litigation matters. Prepare precise and well-crafted legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Represent clients in legal proceedings such as court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Oversee and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progression of cases. Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on intricate and sophisticated legal issues. Build and maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders. Contribute to strategic planning sessions and offer innovative solutions to case challenges. Requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in employee benefits law or related legal areas. Proven track record of managing legal matters independently and efficiently. Strong interpersonal and professional skills, with a focus on fostering client relationships. Dedication to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards. Education
Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution with a history of academic excellence. Certifications
Active membership in the Florida State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission. Skills
Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying complex legal concepts. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. High level of judgment and strategic thinking in complex legal scenarios.
