RSM's National Healthcare Consulting practice is searching for an Epic Senior Associate The Epic Senior Associate will participate in all aspects of the systems implementation life cycle related to healthcare IT applications. Responsibilities include managing customer requirements, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support activities. The role also supports strategic IT projects such as Epic optimizations, implementations, and strategic services. The candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary project team, engaging both consulting and client team members.
As part of RSM's Epic Healthcare consulting practice, you will join professionals with broad healthcare industry knowledge, including revenue cycle management, clinical integration, interoperability, third-party integration, operational efficiencies, and system optimization.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of healthcare technology projects with providers, payers, and related organizations
Design, build, implement, optimize, and support Epic applications
Deep understanding of Epic software, healthcare workflows, and project leadership
Translate clinical and business requirements into technical solutions
Enhance Epic system performance and patient care outcomes
Lead planning, analysis, design, and implementation of Epic modules
Serve as a subject matter expert and primary client contact
Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis
Develop and maintain detailed documentation
Mentor associates and guide Epic standards and protocols
Coordinate cross-functional projects with clinical and business teams
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
Manage client expectations, risks, and issues
Develop project plans, monitor progress, and report
Support practice development and mentorship programs
Travel as needed (25-50%)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, or related field
4+ years of experience with Epic systems in healthcare
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Team-oriented mindset
Preferred Skills include experience with multiple Epic modules, leadership, healthcare workflows, problem-solving, project management, and Epic certifications
