Responsibilities Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a talented WebApp Software Engineer to join our team. STC provides software and infrastructure support. The candidate should be capable of working independently as a contributor to a cross-sector software development team, exhibiting expertise in: Industry best practices for software development, with proficiency in Java and Python Implementing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services (Azure Static WebApps, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure AI Services) Designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs for cloud-based applications Integrating APIs with front-end applications using React or Next.js Occasionally demonstrating software technology to customers Additional duties as assigned Roles and Responsibilities The candidate should be capable of working independently in an agile AI/ML software development environment, demonstrating expertise in: Strong software architecture and programming skills in Java and Python Developing software application interfaces (APIs) and integrating software applications Data Science and ML frameworks MLOps practices including Prompt Engineering, Data Cleaning, RAG, and deploying LLMs Cloud and IT principles, including cloud architectures, database architectures, and data sharing protocols The candidate should also have a general understanding of or interest in gaining expertise in: Technical management skills Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools Database deployment Digital Engineering methodologies and tooling Model-Based Systems Engineering CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools Qualifications Required Skills: BS (8-10 years), MS (6-8 years), PhD (3-5 years) Web Developer with React and Next.js (5+ years) Software Developer with Java, Python, Git (7+ years) Database and Web Database Administration and Integration Graph-Based/Data Science Skills (PyGraph, Pydantic) Azure cloud infrastructure experience: hosting WebApps, REST APIs, Authentication, etc. (5+ years) Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance Preferred Experience: Graph-Based/Data Science Skills (PyGraph, Pydantic) Cloud-based Software Architecture AI/MLOps MBSE - SysML, UML, SysML V2 EEO Statement We are an equal opportunity employer and federal government contractor.
