About The Role As the Business Applications Manager at MED-EL USA, you'll lead the implementation, optimization, and integration of key business systems, including Microsoft Power Platform tools, to drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making. This role bridges technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration, empowering teams through streamlined processes, actionable insights, and user-friendly solutions. You'll have the opportunity to influence business strategy while supporting our mission to connect people to the joy of sound. This is a hybrid role and will require you to be onsite 3x / week in Durham, NC. Primary Responsibilities The Business Applications Manager will be responsible for organizing, implementing, and adapting various Business Applications. They will also be responsible for the Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps, and other Business Systems in a manner that achieves optimum usage and configuration for utilization within MED-EL Corporation. Analyze business requirements, assist in project plan development, and manage process improvement projects to drive development and adoption of best practices with the platform Collaborate with senior team members to customize and configure software components, interact with departments who have subject matter expertise in specific platform components Assist in adoption and change management of systems and processes, to include training, communication, and other methods Responsible for understanding business processes and working with end users on training and implementation. Coordinate with the Digital Team on releases, functionalities, requirements. Assure quality by assisting with test plans; maintains project and technical documentation Identify risks within the scope of your own work, formulate recommended course of action and communicate to project leadership, and work under guidance towards their resolution. Develop relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI), both from a service fulfillment and from an economic standpoint Serve as the SME on data points, structure, interoperability, and integrations between the CRM, ERP, RCM, Contact Center and Customer Portal platforms. Interface with Headquarters: As certain core functions for data storage and applications are based in Austria at the global headquarters, maintaining and building a strong working relationship with key users as required. Support integration of application components and data mapping between systems. Comprehend changes in business processes and accommodate them in the solutions. Analyze and combine system data to provide business reporting. Familiarization with Power BI Desktop Queries and Report creation a plus. Establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results, including opportunities to give and receive feedbaclk Maintain relationships and collaborate with 3rd party partners on development projects Position Qualifications 3-5 years' experience required in Computer Science, Management/Computer Information Systems, etc. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Management/Computer Information Systems or equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience Additional value-added educational assets include experience working in the medical device industry Ability to build components in support of some combination of PowerApps, Power BI, Flow, and Dynamics 365. Flexible, agile and adaptable to change Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to design and develop scalable application components Ability to independently operate and lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate. Power Apps a plus Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and experience presenting to and facilitating large group discussions Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner Ability to interact courteously and professionally during interactions with customers, internal staff, or the public at large while representing MED-EL Corporation Reside in, or willing to relocate to, Durham, NC What We Offer We know that benefits are important to you, and we offer a robust benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage available, effective on the first day of the month following 30 days of active service. 401k Match Health Savings Account Short term and long-term disability paid by the company.
