The Application Developer is responsible for the technical design, development, testing, implementation, administration, and support of the HighJump Warehouse Management System (WMS), as well as other internal WMS developed applications. This role involves collaborating with application users to improve current processes, develop solutions to meet changing business needs, and programming new functionalities. Training and supporting key users to ensure a knowledgeable user community is part of the role. ZEISS will provide and pay for HighJump training. Willingness to complete this training is required. Sounds Interesting? Here's what you'll do: Analyze business requirements of the Warehouse, describe solutions and alternatives. Develop and program functionalities, reports, and system solutions based on business requirements. Implement system solutions through the development lifecycle, including testing and documentation. Maintain and monitor developed applications and databases. Provide second-level support for these systems. Work with the user community to determine business requirements. Train key users in new system functionalities. Do you qualify? In-depth knowledge of WMS, Shipping & Logistics, OMS in a high-volume transaction environment. HighJump experience preferred but not necessary (training will be provided), familiarity with Warehouse Advantage, Advantage Architect, WebWise reporting software, and system administration. Minimum 3 years of SQL Server experience, preferably SQL Server 2016 or later, with advanced stored procedures, Transact-SQL, and SQL Integration Services. Expertise in .NET technologies (C#, ASP) is a plus. Experience with SSRS, SSIS is desired. Ability to work independently based on requirements. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and forward-thinking skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
