Chief Financial & Transition Officer

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial &Transition Officer to shape and execute the financial strategy of our growing, multi‑entity enterprise. Reporting to the CEO—who also serves as executor and trustee for a portfolio of family‑owned estates and trusts—the CFO/TO will: • Drive robust financial performance and reporting across all companies. • Lead estate‑ and trust‑related administration, including coordination with outside counsel, advisors, and beneficiaries. • Safeguard business continuity during ownership transfers and asset dispositions. Key Responsibilities Function Primary Accountabilities Financial Oversight Ensure GAAP‑compliant accounting, cash‑management, and tax reporting; deliver timely, accurate financial statements. Budgeting & Forecasting Build and refine annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range plans that support field operations, sales, and executive decision‑making. Policy & Controls Update financial policies, internal controls, A/R and A/P processes to maintain scalability and risk mitigation. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversee all federal, state, and local tax filings; manage licenses, insurance renewals, and statutory reporting calendars. Financial Close & Reporting Direct month‑end and quarter‑end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries; present clear, actionable reports to the Executive Team. Leadership & Talent Development Mentor and evaluate accounting and administrative staff; instill a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Strategic Analysis Provide forward‑looking financial models, variance analyses, and scenario planning to guide corporate strategy. Stakeholder Communication Liaise with the CEO, President, lenders, auditors, and insurers on contracts, change orders, audits, and financing needs. Estate & Trust Transition Support all aspects of estate and trust administration—asset valuation, ownership transfers, strategic planning, and eventual disposition. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. • Experience: Minimum 10years of progressive accounting and finance leadership, including hands‑on responsibility for budgeting, cost control, and MIS. • Industry Background: Construction and real‑estate investment experience highly valued; proven success in multi‑company or portfolio environments. • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and MicrosoftOffice skills; familiarity with Trimble SPECTRUM and SAGE ERP platforms a plus. • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and inspire high‑performing teams; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
