About the Role The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area specializes in ISR and aviation systems, including prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems. Responsibilities include design, integration, testing, certification, training, and logistics support, delivering solutions that exceed customer expectations on time and within budget.
Company Overview Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has been innovating in aerospace and defense for over 60 years. We are currently working on the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) to modernize and deliver next-generation aircraft for critical national security missions. Role Responsibilities
Research, architect, model, simulate, test, and certify advanced systems and products.
Develop complex system architectures from concept through design, simulation, and testing.
Own system-level development of new products and processes throughout their lifecycle.
Qualifications Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science in System Engineering or related field; typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience with multidisciplinary design teams.
Understanding of requirements management, systems design, integration, risk management, and V&V principles.
Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred:
Experience with requirements management and modeling tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody, MATLAB).
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and MBSE.
INCOSE standards certification or experience.
Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
Experience leading complex development projects and tracking technical performance metrics.
Additional Information Estimated salary range: $143,487 - $197,295. Benefits include health plans, 401(k) with match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more. This role requires an active U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
