The Team The Gender Equality Division aims to empower women and girls in Africa and South Asia to enjoy good health, make their own choices, earn income, and be leaders. We recognize the diverse experiences of women and girls and work in partnership with grantees to address barriers they face. The Maternal, Newborn, Child Nutrition & Health (MNCNH) Team focuses on developing and scaling high-impact products for women, adolescents, and children in low-resource settings, covering a range of products and stages from discovery to implementation.

Your Role We seek a strategic and operational Senior Officer, Integrated Portfolio Management, to lead strategy execution, team alignment, grant oversight, and systems integration across our portfolio. You will collaborate with Program Officers and senior leaders to deliver impactful innovations, reporting to the Deputy Director, Drugs & Clinical Development. This role is ideal for a systems thinker with product development experience passionate about maternal and child health.

What You’ll Do Strategic Portfolio Integration and Planning

Partner with team leaders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in global health innovation.

Develop and update strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.

Coordinate planning processes, reviews, and strategic adjustments.

Communicate insights and recommendations effectively.

Cross-Team Execution and Systems Integration

Ensure coherence across product types and teams.

Identify synergies and promote harmonized approaches.

Collaborate on integrated development plans and manage shared tools.

Monitor performance indicators and manage risks.

Grant and Investment Management

Manage select grants and contracts, focusing on high-impact projects.

Oversee investment planning, milestones, and budgets.

Engage partners for effective execution and learning.

Lead grant processes from proposal to closure.

Operational and Organizational Excellence

Partner on financial planning and portfolio execution.

Improve tools and systems for decision-making.

Model best practices in integration and accountability.

Your Experience

Master’s degree or equivalent in management, science, medicine, or engineering.

10+ years in strategy, operations, or program delivery, preferably in biotech, pharma, health R&D, or digital health.

5+ years managing drug or biologics R&D efforts.

Proven portfolio oversight and cross-functional integration success.

Experience in grant or investment management within global health ecosystems.

Strong strategic, performance management, and risk mitigation skills.

Excellent communication and partnership skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced, diverse environments and travel up to 30%.

Legal authorization to work in the location without sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits The salary range is $169,700 to $254,500 USD, with higher ranges for Seattle and Washington D.C. offices. Compensation depends on experience and skills. We offer competitive benefits, including health coverage, retirement contributions, and more.
